Under the supervision of the Director, the Accreditation Coordinator is responsible for duties related to Organizational Performance Improvement and Regulatory compliance. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating regulatory surveys and ongoing survey preparedness. Supports high quality, safe care by ensuring organizational systems and processes comply with all regulatory requirements. The RN is responsible for communicating, maintaining and processing defined or designated confidential Performance Improvement information, including Hospital-wide and Medical Staff Peer Review activities. Duties also include data collection via chart review, analysis, recommendation, implementation, trouble-shooting and support for any given department and facility need. Will assist the Director with educational opportunities. Must be professional and cooperative with patients, visitors, employees and members of the medical staff, in support of the hospital's customer service goals.
Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours which may include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call in the Director's absence. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California. Must have and maintain current BLS certification or obtain within orientation process, prior to hands-on patient care.
Must have Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) or agree to obtain BSN within 3 years of hire. At least five (3-5) years clinical experience in acute care facility as a Registered Nurse is preferred. Prior experience with survey readiness and accreditation related activities. Demonstrates independent judgment, autonomy and initiative in leadership skills, time management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects/functions in a busy work environment.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be computer literate in programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Able to create statistical reports, using graphs and charts to present data.
