We are seeking a minimum of three candidates for tenured or tenure-track position at all ranks, who work on the molecular basis of disease with preference given to infectious diseases or neurodegeneration. Successful candidates for this position are expected to have already established, or have the potential to establish, a nationally recognized, competitively funded research program and graduate and medical student education and mentoring. The Department offers institutional salary support commensurate with experience, competitive start-up packages, dry and wet laboratory space, excellent core facilities, and a collegial atmosphere to create an environment that promotes success.
Minimum requirements for an Assistant Professor position include an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD with at least two years of relevant postdoctoral experience. Appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor levels requires a minimum of five years of experience as an Assistant or Associate level, respectively and current grant funding support
The Department of Molecular Medicine is located on the Tampa campus of USF Health that includes the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health, as well as the Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Byrd Alzheimer's Institute. USF is ranked 41st in total research expenditures and 25th in federal research expenditures for public universities by the National Science Foundation for 2014 with extramural grants and contract activity in excess of $450 million annually.
