The Palliative Care Section at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking an experienced palliative physician for our Section Head and Medical Director. Our inpatient service is one of the busiest consult services in the 360+ bed adult hospital, serving patients in all units and from all services. We are actively involved in training future clinicians in palliative care at all levels—students, residents, and fellows—and our team leads Oregon’s only Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship accredited program.
Qualified candidates will be expected to be board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, have experience working on a multidisciplinary team, and have previously held a leadership and administrative role.

With over 15,000 employees, we are one of the state’s largest employers, providing family-wage jobs, opportunities for career growth and excellent benefits. Our team and the OHSU community strive to find the perfect work/life balance. This way you can enjoy the nearby coast, mountains, major league sporting teams, food carts, and the amazing outdoor life that Portland and the Northwest have to offer.
