Reporting directly to the Chief Academic Officer, this position is responsible for the district-wide leadership and administration of all aspects of the Nursing Department including registered nursing, practical nursing, nursing assistant, caregiver and nursing related courses and programs. The incumbent works in tandem with the deans, associate deans, faculty, and advisory committees to carry out the responsibilities of the position. The incumbent oversees the recruitment, development and retention of full-time and part-time faculty, manages resident, associate, and clinical faculty and supervises administrative and support staff. This position is responsible for district-wide instructional service delivery, and supports strategic planning, enrollment management, and issues pertaining to delivery of nursing program instruction.
Required: Masters' degree in nursing or higher and holds a current Arizona registered nurse license in good standing or multi-state privilege to practice in Arizona. Minimum five (5) years nursing experience. Three (3) years in a higher education setting with 1) demonstrated administrative experience at the community college level; 2) experience providing leadership for the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning environment; 3) demonstrated administrative and budget experience; and 4) demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and mission of a comprehensive community college.
Preferred: Demonstrated ability to use computer information systems for data collection, reporting, and analysis. Demonstrated ability with curricula and course schedule development experience.
