Swedish Medical Center is looking for a CertifiedNursing Assistant \(1\.0 FTE, Days\) to work in the Lift Teamat Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA\.
The Certified Nursing Assistant/Transporter Lift Team is responsible for the efficient and timely movement of patients as directed and other duties assigned by the manager or designee\. The NAC assists in the delivery of patient care and department\-related activities under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse\. Clinical Responsibilities include working with the exercise physiologist to coordinate and execute proper lift equipment use, body mechanics, and safe patient handling during lifts, transfers and repositioning\.
In this position you will:
Provide patient care as directed by the team RN and within scope of practice
Hands on staff education regarding proper lifte equipment use, body mechanics and safe patient handling during lifts, transfers and repositioning\.
Communicate and document all daily activities and care provided to the patient\.
Collaborate with the nurse and other team members to organize and prioritize functions necessary for patient admission and care delivery
Assist with patient admission, discharge, transfer, and associated documentation\.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school education or equivalent
Current Washington State certification as a Nursing Assistant Certified
Current CPR certification
This position requires that the employee be able to successfully pass a physical fitness evaluation which includes:
Lifting 70 lbs\. ground to 2 inches off the ground with a 24 inch side carry\.
Lifting 55 lbs\. 26 inch to 22 inch eccentric lift with 24 inch side carry\.
Lifting 70 lbs\. 22 inches to 37\.5 inch vertical lift then return to 22 inch surface\.
Lifting 60 lbs\. ground to waist level lift then ascend and descend 3 steps 3 times\.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Six months of acute care experience
One year of skilled nursing experience\. Acute or skilled experience will be waived if the applicant has demonstrated experience involving customer service in healthcare or other related industry and completion of an acute care NAC course
