Providence is calling a Senior Business Analyst - One Revenue Cycle (ORC) to Providence Health & Services in Torrance, CA. (Alternate locations: Portland, OR; Renton, WA; Liberty Lake, WA)
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst - One Revenue Cycle (ORC) to be provide core business intelligence that enables PH&S Revenue Cycle to improve performance, reduce costs and increase the effectiveness of revenue collections.
In this position you will:
Investigate, resolve, and perform follow up tasks on system and related problems. The Analyst will partner with IT resources (when applicable) to resolve such problems.
Analyze and report on service delivery, performance metrics and accounts receivables to help ensure PH&S Revenue Cycle meets or exceeds its targets – taking initiative to recommend changes for improvement.
Identify and escalate major business risks by establishing "early warning" processes and proactively work with management to identify root causes of problems.
Be responsible to understand and refine the prescribed work flows, policies and procedures, as well as become familiar with the functional workings of the Epic (or other assigned) software.
Be able to act in a lead role representing ORC as it applies to end user specifications for new application features, customizations or other programming/design considerations. Is able to anticipate ORC need and articulate this to appropriate technical resources.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years Application Support or Business Analysis experience, with demonstrated problem solving skills.
5 years Health Care Revenue Cycle experience.
Shows strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities simultaneously
Abilty to set priorities and work direction independently
Skills with advanced decision making
Skills in organization and communication (oral and written)

Prior Epic experience preferred. Current EPIC Certifications in applicable EPIC Modules highly preferred.
Hospital and Professional claims experience desired.
Knowledge of Hospital commercial contracting, managed care and reimbursement methodologies
