Fairview Ridges Hospital is a 150 bed facility and is located in Burnsville, MN. The Ortho Spine Surgical unit is looking for a Nursing Station Technician (NST) to support their 26 bed unit. This unit cares for adult orthopedics, spine, total joint replacements, general surgery and post-surgical recovery patients.
Fairview Ridges has been named a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement by Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
About this position:
This position is 64 hours per pay period (.8 FTE)
8 hour shifts, on night shift which includes $1.00 an hour shift differential
Working every other weekend is required (F, S, S)

Work under direction of nursing personnel to provide patient care while functioning as a nursing assistant and as a health unit coordinator. Duties may include: patient cares, vitals, bathing, feeding, answering call lights, transporting, care of environment (by stocking, cleaning, and maintaining rooms) and use of equipment, phones, clerical, transcription, and coordinate the flow of communication on the unit. May work as a patient care attendant.

Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position (exception: M Health Fairview West Bank Nursing Assistants) or Current enrollment in an RN program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
