This position is located within the Surgical Unit of Nursing Service at the TVHS - Nashville Campus. The primary purpose of the position is patient care, supporting diagnostic procedures, technical nursing treatments, patient charting, and patient teaching. Duties include, but are not limited to: Performs personal care needs such as bathing, feeding, lifting, turning, oral care, hair care, shaving and related hygiene needs. Personal care includes attending to elimination needs. Performs a variety of treatment procedures including measuring I & O, Foley care, vital signs, and phlebotomy. Transports patients as needed. Obtain vital signs, recording and reporting deviates, collecting and labeling specimens for lab, glucose checks, Intermittent telemetry monitoring. Maintains BLS certification and may have to work with code team. Provide 1:1 support for patients as ordered. Other tasks identified according to the needs of the service.
