Northwell Health and the Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Program Director to join their team at Glen Cove Hospital. Among other responsibilities, the Program Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Hospital and direct the educational curriculum – both inpatient and outpatient. They will ensure the program follows all regulations of the Accreditations Council for Graduate Medical Education and Residency Review Committee (RRC) for Family Medicine.
Other key responsibilities of the Program Director will include supervising residents, students and other trainees caring for patients under the auspices of the Department. They will also oversee the coordination and scheduling of clinical assignments and faculty participation, conference development and implementation, and serves as a preceptor in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting. The Program Director will serve on Hospital committees and performs other medical staff and administrative functions as required.
