The role you’ll contribute:
May perform the duties in compliance with the role and responsibilities specific to the Nurse Technician,
having demonstrated competency in nursing school and under the direct observation of a licensed nurse (RN/LPN). Primary function is to assist with the basic care needs of the patient as well as to perform
clinical skills as assigned which may include but are not limited to: basic care routines and procedures, vital signs, glucometer skills. This position proactively functions as a team member in the delivery of safe, competent, therapeutic and cost-effective patient care, assisting in the care of the following patient populations: geriatrics, adult, adolescent and pediatric patients.

- Performs patient care and reports observations in accordance with the department policy:
- Assists the patient with activities of daily living as ordered by the physician (i.e. ambulating, up in chair, turning etc.)
- Responds to patient call lights/bells, cares for the needs of the patient according to her/his skill level.
- Welcomes new admission, orients patient to room, completes valuables list, prepares personal items, zeros the bed scale and records vital signs.
Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or (GED) equivalent is required
- Must be currently enrolled in, or graduated from, an approved school of nursing program
- Basic Life Support certification
- Ability to communicate verbally in English and in written form with persons of varied backgrounds in a respectful, effective and professional manner.
